On July 14th, the Cyclones will host a salute to the ultimate snack food...the pork rind! The Monday night game will feature various entertainment and prizes, including a pork rind sculpture contest.
Use as many pork rinds as you need to create a sculpture to be entered in the contest. Sculptures will be displayed at the ballpark, and judged by a panel of experts and executives from Utz.
The prizes for the winners of the pork rind sculpture contest are:
- 1st place -- an all-expense paid trip to Hanover, PA to tour the Utz factory and Headquarters -- bus fare, hotel, spending money included
- 2nd place -- a one-year supply of pork rinds, courtesy of Utz
- 3rd place -- a six-month supply of pork rinds, courtesy of Utz
In addition, there will be table on the concourse that gives you opportunity to make your own pork rind sculpture that night, with dozens of pounds of pork rinds, and gallons of milk, to help shape and stick your sculpture (only pre-entered registrants are eligible for the actual sculpture contest and prizes).
One of the between-inning contests will also feature two fans diving into a pool of pork rinds for a hidden treasure, and another will see contestants toss pork rinds at a target.
