Chairman, CEO
Fred Wilpon is Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of Sterling Equities and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the New York Mets. In 2000, he Co-Founded and became Chairman of the Brooklyn Baseball Company, owner of the Brooklyn Cyclones. Mr. Wilpon's background includes extensive experience in all aspects of the real estate industry, as well as serving as the Senior Executive of many diversified businesses. Mr. Wilpon received a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Michigan.
Sterling Equities Overview
Sterling Equities (SE) was founded by Fred Wilpon & Saul Katz as a vehicle to develop and invest in real estate. Since 1972 SE and its affiliates have purchased or developed over 17.0 million SF of commercial property, 45,000 residential units, 8.5 million SF of retail property and three major sports complexes.
