If you are looking for some last minute gift ideas, the Cyclones team store will be open Friday (12/20), Saturday (12/21) and Monday (12/23) from 10 AM - 4:00 PM, and Tuesday from 10 AM - 2PM. In addition, all web orders placed by 2 PM on Monday (12/23) are guaranteed delivery by end of day 12/24.
Cyclones fans can head to MCU Park on Tuesday, December 10th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM for their chance to take photos with Santa in the team store. The New York-Penn League has announced their league award winners for the 2013 season and the Brooklyn Cyclones are well represented. The team received the presitgious Vincent McNamara Outstanding Club Award, and are nominated for MiLB's John H. Johnson Award and the John Henry Moss Community Service Award. In addition Cyclones General Manager Steve Cohen was honored as the NYPL's Executive of the Year.
On Friday evening, the Mets announced the 2013 Sterling Award Winners - emblematic of the Team MVP at each level of the organization. RHP Rob Gsellman was the 2013 Award Winner for the Cyclones and a number of former Cyclones were also honored - including Kevin Plawecki and Gabriel Ynoa who were the Organizational Co-Player and Pitcher of the Year

The Cyclones late season tailspin continued on Tuesday night as Brooklyn was defeated by the Tri-City ValleyCats by the score of 6-3. Last week, John Gant tossed a one-hit complete game gem against these same ValleyCats, but tonight would be a different story. The righthander was roughed up for six runs, five earned, on five hits while walking three and striking out two over 2.0+ innings of work.

In a year filled with come backs on Coney Island, the Cyclones last-ditch effort on Sunday night came up just short as they fell to the Aberdeen IronBirds 5-4. All nine runs were scored from the seventh inning off, including four from Aberdeen in the top of the ninth, and three from Brooklyn in the bottom of the frame. The loss marked the first time in 30 games this season in which Brooklyn lost when leading after seven innings.

The Brooklyn Cyclones have joined MiLB Charities for the "15 for 15" Initiative to raise money for Oklahoma Tornado Victims. From June 3rd through June 17th 15% of the total proceeds from team store sales will be give to those affected by the tornadoes in Oklahoma.
Four members of the 2012 Brooklyn Cyclones team have been named to the South Atlantic Leagues (SAL) All-Star team. Gabriel Ynoa, Brandon Nimmo, Jayce Boyd and Kevin Plawecki will be representing the Savannah Sand Gnats during the game on June 18th in Lakewood, New Jersey.
Every Monday during the 2013 season, the Cyclones will focus on local areas impacted by Super Storm Sandy. Through ticket sales, a special t-shirt initiative and jersey off the back raffles, the team will raise funds for local charities that focus on helping the victims of the storm.
