Three former Cyclones -- Carlos Muniz, Angel Pagan, and Joe Smith -- are currently on the Mets' active roster. In addition, almost 50 are playing on long-season teams throughout the Mets' farm system (17 each on the Binghamton and St. Lucie rosters).
Pagan has been one of New York's most productive hitters, getting everyday playing time in Moises Alou's absence. Through 11 games, Pagan is hitting .385 (15-for-39), with nine runs, five doubles, and 10 RBI. Muniz has appeared in three games, tossing 4.0 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out two. Smith has appeared in six games, and sports a 1.69 ERA in 5.1 innings.
At New Orleans (AAA), RHP Tim McNab is 1-0 with a 2.57 ERA in four games. In 7.0 IP, he has allowed five hits and two earned runs, while striking out four.
At Binghamton (AA), 1B Nick Evans is hitting .444 (16-for-36) through 10 games, with three doubles, two triples, two home runs, and 13 RBI. RHP Jake Ruckle is 1-0 for the B-Mets, with a 1.54 ERA in two starts. In 11.2 IP, he has allowed 10 hits and two earned runs.
At St. Lucie (A), 2007 sluggers Lucas Duda and Jason Jacobs are still swinging hot bats. Duda is hitting .341 (15-for-44) in 11 games, with seven runs, four doubles, a home run, and eight RBI. Jacobs is hitting .444 (4-for-9) in three games, with a double and two RBI. RHP Dylan Owen has also picked up where he left off in '07, and is 1-1 with a 1.64 ERA in two starts. In 11.0 IP, Owen has allowed 10 hits, two earned runs, and has struck out nine batters.
At Savannah (A), OF Raul Reyes is hitting .300 (12-for-40) through 11 games, with three doubles, a triple, a home run, and four RBI.
