HOME OF THE BEST DRESSED TEAM IN BASEBALL
Since 2001, the Brooklyn Cyclones have received a number of accolades for their community service, promotional excellence and innovative ways of making a trip to MCU Park unlike any other. But among all the titles that have been bestowed upon them – “Most Fun Ballpark in America” or “The Coolest Place on Earth” – there is one label that has been missing…until now!
The Brooklyn Cyclones and Haggar Clothing have joined together for a landmark partnership that officially makes the Brooklyn Cyclones “The Best Dressed Team in Baseball.” As part of the agreement, all Cyclones players, coaches, and front office staff will be outfitted in the all-new Haggar Performance Microfiber Slacks.
“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Haggar Clothing,” said Cyclones Vice President Steve Cohen. “As an organization, we always try to be on the cutting edge and finding new and innovative ways to improve our brand. That’s what Haggar prides their company on as well, so joining forces was a no brainer.”
As part of the agreement, each member of the Brooklyn Cyclones organization received two pairs of their new microfiber pants to be worn during all home games. Cyclones players were all issued pants in accordance with the team’s long pants rule when traveling.
“It’s no secret that people work more efficiently when they are comfortable,” said Cyclones Assistant General Manager Gary Perone, who brokered the deal. “Game days at MCU Park involve a lot of running around, but also includes a lot of hands on interaction with our fans. This partnership allows all of our staff members to look good, while also feeling comfortable, and comfort breeds creativity.”
“The Brooklyn Cyclones have long been one of the most innovative franchises in all of professional sports,” said John Apostolidis, Haggar’s Director of Brand Licensing. “When they approached us about partnering with them for the 2014 Season and the New York-Penn League All-Star Game we jumped at the chance. They represent all of the things that we pride ourselves on – quality, affordability and creativity. We typically focus our marketing efforts on the classics – like the Hockey and Basketball Halls of Fame. But there is nothing more classic than baseball in Brooklyn.”
The partnership will begin with the Cyclones game on Wednesday, July 30th and run through the remainder of the season. In addition, the Cyclones and Haggar will join forces for the first-ever “Pants off the Players” auction during the 2014 New York-Penn League All-Star Game at MCU Park on August 19th. Fans will be able to purchase raffles for a chance to win a pair of pants signed by the All-Stars with all proceeds to benefit Tic Toc Stop, one of the presenting sponsors of the NYPL All-Star Game, which raises money for Tourette Syndrome research.
