Join the American Cancer Society at the Third Annual Pink & Black Tie Gala on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Stage 6 at Steiner Studios, for a fun-filled night celebrating the Best of Brooklyn. From the posh cocktail party to the spectacular auctions, from elegant dining to getting down on the dance floor, celebrate Brooklyn-style.
You and some of Brooklyn’s brightest luminaries will enjoy one of the borough’s premier benefits. Hosted by Brooklyn’s own style expert Stacy London of TLC’s What Not to Wear, the Gala brings out the best of Brooklyn in a memorable night to save lives and create more birthdays. Meet our supporting celebrities including honoree actor Malik Yoba, Cat Greenleaf of NBC’s Talk Stoop with Cat Greenleaf, Elyse Luray of PBS’ History Detectives, Comedian Chuck Nice and KTU's Cindy Vero. And whether it’s a pink mini or black tie, guests are encouraged to incorporate pink and black into their festive attire.
For nearly a century, the American Cancer Society has fought for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. We’ve helped avoid about 650,000 cancer deaths and created the potential for more birthday celebrations. Funds raised through the Gala will support the American Cancer Society’s services this year to more than 4,000 families in the Brooklyn community, as well as our live-saving national research and support programs. Now that’s a reason to party!
